Homeward Bound - Adopted!
Now happily living in Omaha, Nebraska.
Asher is a sweet, loving, funny little guy. He was rescued from a horrible puppy mill in Nebraska where he spent 12 years of his life, most of it blind and in misery. He had only two teeth when he came to HUA and he lost both of them at his first vet visit. In addition to his blindness and has chronic dry eye that requires medication. In spite of all of his problems this sweet, adorable little fellow is so happy to be rescued! He loves to be cradled and have sweet nothings whispered in his ear. He has a wonderful spirit. We can't say enough good things about this dear boy.
Asher is a male Shih-tzu. He was born 6/8/97 anad weighs 10.8 pounds.
Asher is so happy that he has a Buddy! His Buddy, Kristine Nielsen Felos, from Blanchard Township, Maine, sent him this message: "You are so adorable I'm sure you will be adopted quickly." Asher sends Kristine many happy, grateful kisses.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
