Homeward Bound - Adopted.

How much cuteness can you stand? Have you ever seen such an adorable little girl in your life? Biddy is wildly entertaining. Nothing slows her down. She loves to run and play and have a blast. Biddy was born to a blind mother in a puppy mill in Missouri. Thinking that Biddy was blind and wouldn't be worth anything to sell to a broker or pet store, they took her to a vet clinic and asked that she be euthanized when she was just 3 months old. The vet clinic could not bring themselves to kill this sweet bundle of love, so they called us to come get her along with her mother who was also facing death per the request of the puppy miller. Upon Biddy's arrival at HUA it was clear that she has some vision. She gets around amazingly well. A person would really have to know there was something wrong with her, they would never guess. Reports from the eye specialist say that she is blind in one eye and has limitied vision in the other. Biddy will have no trouble adapting to a home. She will just need to be carefully monitored around stairs or other dangerous situations that she might not be able to see perfectly. She will be quite the little entertainer.
Biddy is a female black and tan shorthaired Dachshund. She was born 01/13/09 and weighs 5 pounds.
Biddy is so happy that she has a Buddy! Her Buddy, Amy Mitchell, from Council Bluffs, Iowa, sent her this message: "Biddy you are such a sweet little baby. It looks like you are having sooo much fun at HUA!!!" Biddy sends Amy many happy, grateful puppy kisses and hugs.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested.
