Carmel
Carmel had a rough start. She and Apple were abandoned at 8 weeks of age in a back yard when the people moved. They just left these gorgeous little puppies! Thank goodness a neighbor called the authorities. Carmel is happy, healthy and full of puppy energy. She loves to play with her puppy pals in our picket yard. She is a dream!
Carmel was born in July of 2009 and weighs 4 pounds. She is a female Dachshund Chihuaha mix (Chiweenie).
Carmel is so happy that she has a Buddy! Her Buddy, Kelly Taylor, from Platte Woods, Missouri, sent her this message: "Dear Carmel, you are such a sweet, fun-loving pup. I hope you find a wonderful home soon where you will be loved and adored forever." Carmel sends Kelly many happy, grateful puppy kisses and hugs.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
