Chester

Chester is a charming fellow. He loves treats and snuggling with the humans. He likes to cuddle up in his big dog bed for a snooze before he goes looking for more pats on the head and treats. Chester's people fell on hard times and could no longer care for him. Chester would love a home to call his own again.

Chester is a male tri-colored beagle. He weighs 26 pounds.

Chester is so happy that he has a Buddy! His Buddy, Suzanne Sears, from Omaha, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Dearest Chester, You remind me so much of my beloved Beagle dog, Oscar, who died last September. I loved him so much and you look a LOT like he did. Chester, you look so sweet, and I just know you are going to make some family very happy with your love! Stay sweet! Much love, Suzanne Sears of Omaha, NE" Chester sends Suzanne many happy, grateful beagle boy kisses. He also sends a wink and says that Oscar must have been one VERY good looking boy.

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested.
