Cindy Lou

You could tell Cindy Lou's story by looking at her photos. She was with a woman who loved her but the woman's boyfriend beat Cindy Lou. The woman took her to the pound in Oklahoma because she said that she was afraid he would beat Cindy Lou to death. Just imagine the horror of her life as a puppy. She was rescued from the pound by the Pryor Animal League. They drove her to HUA because the foster homes could not handle her needs. She has been at HUA for six months and is only now learning to trust. She will play a little and will take food from people now. Every little thing scares her. She will continue to make progress with love. She needs a very special home.

Cindy Lou is a beagle. She was born on 2/1/2007 and weighs about 30 pounds.

Cindy Lou is so happy that she has Buddies!

Her Buddy, Sandra Ray, from Pryor, Oklahoma, sent her this message: "You are the sweetest little girl. I love you Cindy." Cindy sends Sandra much love and thanks for rescuing her and bringing her to HUA.

Her Buddy, Erna Gibbs, from Pryor, Oklahoma, sent her this message: "I hope that you will find you forever home soon, but until then I will be your Buddy. Thereafter you will always be in my thoughts." Cindy Lou sends Erna many happy, grateful thank you kisses for saving her life.

Her Buddies, Aaron, Kelly and McCoy Sand, from Bellevue, Nebraska, sent her this message: "Cindy Lou, You are such a precious soul! Aaron, McCoy (HUA alum, Cromwell), and I wish we could take the pain away that you received from that bad, bad person! We hope that our small donation of money, but big donation of our love will help you until you are adopted to the forever home you well deserve! McCoy wants you to know that it CAN happen and to be patient. HUA is a wonderful place for you to be for now and your forever home will be worth the wait! BIG KISSES AND HUGS!! Our love, Aaron, Kelly, and McCoy Sand" Cindy Lou sends Aaron, Kelly, and McCoy many grateful Beagle girl kisses and hugs.

Her Buddy, Ron McAnespie, from Trenton, Ontario, Canada, sent her this message: "Dear Cindy Lou, you are a beautiful girl. I'm so sorry that you have been so hurt in life, but am glad to hear you are making progress. You are a dear girl." Cindy sends Ron many grateful kisses for his generous support.

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. We can give you more information on each dog if you click on the adoption link below. If you are interested in adopting a dog from Hearts United for Animals, please click on the adoption link below. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.

Thanks for visiting our dogs!
