When Eva was about six months old a shelter in Nebraska rescued her. They could not find a home for her and were going to kill her. Luckily we heard of this wonderful girl and brought her to the safety of HUA.
One of our volunteers has another name for this gal. It’s ‘Queen Eva’. This dog is a Queen! She quietly and kindly rules over her realm of a villa suite with 4 other dogs. She lets them know when they are exhibiting poor manners. There are just ways things should be done after all, especially in her presence!
Eva loves everyone. She loves to jump up onto the play tower in her suite to meet people face to face, smiling the whole time. This is a good sign in a dog...confident, intelligent, curious, trusting, and open to forming a relationship! She will learn anything asked of her! She is quick on her feet and would be great at agility training.
Eva is a Whippet mix. She’s a slender 30 pounds and is in excellent health. She was born in 2001.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
