Foxy Arizona Foxy Arizona was found out wandering in the country. She was weak and every bone in her body was showing. She was delirious from starvation and thirst and it took her quite awhile to regain her faculties from the terrible ordeal. She recovered very slowly and it was an uphill battle to put weight on her. After many months of care Foxy is ready for a home. She loves people but needs some reassurances at first from strangers that they will be nice to her. To the people she knows she is a sweetheart who her caretakers describe as "calm and cuddly." They also tell us that she walks well on a leash. Miss Foxy Arizona is such a dear girl and it is our wish for her that she gets a home of her own soon where all the abuse and neglect she has suffered will be made up for and soon forgotten. She deserves the very best. Foxy Arizona is a female American Foxhound. She was born 2/23/08 and weighs 41 pounds. Foxy Arizona is so happy that she has Buddies!! Her Buddy, Curtis Blythe, from Mound City, Kansas, sent her this message: "I recently lost my faithful dog Ginger. I adopted Ginger 16 years ago from a local animal shelter a together we shared many memorable moments together. I make this donation in Gingers name, in hopes that Foxy will soon be able to start a new life, in a new home where she can have the opportunity to give and receive the same kind of love that Ginger and I shared." Foxy Arizona sends Curtis many happy, grateful hugs and kisses for his loving support. Her Buddy, Amy Meinzer, from Omaha, Nebraska, sent her this message: "Foxy you are a wonderful girl and I hope you get adopted soon. You deserve all the best. Love, Amy" Foxy Arizona sends Amy many happy, grateful kisses. Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. We can give you more information on each dog if you click on the adoption link below. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please click on the adoption link below. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy. Thanks for visiting our dogs.
