Homeward Bound - Adopted!
Now living happily in Lincoln, NE.
Jax is a super sweet Red Heeler pup. He was found in the country on someone's front porch, just hanging out waiting for someone to come love him and give him some help. He snuggled on our laps all the way back to the shelter and gave kisses for kindly saving him. Jax had a broken leg, but it is now healed and he is just fine. He LOVES people and is such a little ham. He is sweet tempered and very well behaved for a pup. He would desperately love a home of his own with people who would play with him and shower him with affection. He's that kind of guy...one you want to hug and kiss and goof around with all of the time. He would be a very devoted life long pal.
Jax is a male Red Heeler. Many people have commented that he looks like a little deer because of his coloring. He was born in May or June of 2008. He weighs 45 pounds.

His Buddy, Rana Evans, from Jacksonville, Florida, sent him this message: "Portia Alumni says Hi, I bet I'm your cousin. Hope you find forever love soon, it is worth the wait. Meanwhile have fun at HUA. Lots of hugs, belly scratches and from me and human, Rana from Jax, FL" Jax sends Rana and Portia many happy, grateful doggie kisses and hugs.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested.
