Homeward Bound - Adopted!
Now living happily in Laurel, Maryland.
Jocelyn came from a puppy mill in Missouri. She is an active girl who is loads of fun. At the puppy mill she never knew any comforts, not even a blanket or bed. Her days were spent having to stand or lay on wire in a very small cage. Jocelyn holds her blankets at HUA so very dear. She can't believe her good fortune. She rolls around in them loving every minute of it. She is a hardy girl, a true survivor in body and spirit.
Jocelyn is a female dachshund. She was bor 2/1/05 and weighs 13.4 pounds.
Jocelyn is so happy that she has a Buddy! Her Buddy, Kate Walker, sent her this message: "Jocelyn you are a beautful doxie. Blankies are the best especially when you can tunnel under them. Saying doggie prayers that a wonderful family will find you soon. You deserve the best. Love Doxies, Peanut and Pepper" Jocelyn sends her friends Kate, Peanut, and Pepper many happy, grateful doxies kisses and snuggles.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
