Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Keisha is a very sweet girl who lived in misery at a Nebraska puppy mill. You can see in her eyes the suffering she has endured. Keisha is a precious, sensitive soul who needs a special person to comfort her and help her realize that her nightmare is over. We can tell that Keisha's tender heart would love to accept affection and become a playful, happy dog, she just needs to learn how.
Keisha is a female Cocker Spaniel. She was born in February of 2003 and weighs 18 pounds.
Keisha is so happy that she has a Buddy! Her Buddy, Jill Aurand, from Lincoln, Nebraska, sent her this message: "You are so beautiful, Keisha. We're so glad you finally got out of that nasty mill and into the arms of everyone at HUA. Soon you'll get your own forever home. Love, Jill, Jean-Claude & Juliette." Keisha sends many grateful kisses to Jill and her two lovely little HUA alums.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
