Kenza is so happy that she has a Buddy! Her Buddy, Susan Sampson from Maryland, sent her this message: "Hi precious Kenza, I know you will find your forever home very soon! You are an amazing creature and deserve all the love and caring always We will be your buddy until you find your forever home, Love, Susan and The Gang" Kenza sends them all sweet kisses.
When Kenza arrived at HUA from a commercial kennel in Nebraska she was terrified. She was trembling and tried to hide from us. She cringed when we reached to touch her. We were heartbroken for this little girl who must have suffered more than we can even imagine. Kenza has no front arms. We are told that she was born that way, but our vet says that her mother may have chewed them off when she was a very small puppy. Can anyone conceive of using a dog like Kenza as a breeder dog? It's beyond imagination and truly represents the horrors of the puppymills.
The transformation that occurred when Kenza realized that there was love and comfort available to her was as heartwarming as her fright was heartbreaking. She adores being held and cuddled. She scoots around with her back legs very well and then she sits very pretty. One day the HUA founder was kneeling down scrubbing the floor when she felt something nudge her back. She turned around to see Kenza nudging her with her nose for attention. We still look at Kenza and think how sad but she's not sad. She is the happiest girl. We are thrilled to give her every comfort.
Only the very best home is going to be good enough for this precious baby.
Kenza is a Chihuahua. She was born in 2001. She weighs about 5 pounds.
