Lakota's person fell on hard times and could no longer care for her. She is a lovely, gorgeous, playful girl. She adores people. She has the most bright and delightful personality. She loves to be petted and brushed. She is a truly devoted girl who is gorgeous beyond words, both inside and out.
Lakota is a mixed breed female. She weighs 55 pounds and was born in 2005.
Lakota is so happy that she has a Buddy! Her Buddy, Joyce Sutter from Tarkio, Missouri sent her this message: "Lakota, you are one big bundle of soft, furry sweetness!! Enjoy your days at HUA, while you learn all about love & compassion and the fun things in life. Then one day, just the right family will find you and take you to your forever home where they'll give you the all the love & attention you so deserve!! We'll take you out to walk and play when we come visit again. We send love, treats & tummy rubs! Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
