Larissa Has Moved to Permanent Foster Care! She is enjoying herself in her new home, making up for all of her lost years in the puppy mill.

Larissa is a beautiful little girl. She is so sweet, gentle and friendly. She spent her first 8 years in a terrible puppy mill in Iowa. She came to HUA loaded with mammary tumors. She never fussed a bit during all the baths to try to wash the mill crud off of her, or while taking out the many stitches from her operation to remove her tumors. In fact she was happy with the attention. She and Finola are great friends. They are enjoying their freedom and all the good care they are receiving. They do happy dances while playing with Fabian, Verile and Yves. It is so cute to see!
Larissa is a female Maltese born in July of 1999. She weighs 7.3 pounds.

Her Buddies, Beth and Carl Satrang (and Wilma too) sent her this message: "Dear Larissa, our dog Wilma would like us to make sure that other dogs are taken care of the way we watch over her. Thank you to HUA for your inspiring work to protect these wonderful creatures." Larissa sends many happy, grateful kisses to Beth, Carl and Wilma.
Her Buddy, Dinora Hedberg, from Highland Park, Illinois, sent her this message: "Sweety 8 years is way too long suffering, but you are in a good place now, and I pray that you can have a home with people that give you the love that you deserve, and been lacking all those sad years, is over you are and angel that deserve to be love for the rest of your life. " Larissa sends Dinora many happy, grateful kisses.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
