Lowri
Lowri grew up a puppy mill in Missouri. She is a lovely girl with a striking blue eye. Unfortunately the puppy mill life took it's toll on her. She is still fearful of humans and will run fast to get away. We can tell she wants to trust, but she can't just yet. It will take a gentle, patient person to bring her out of her shell, but it will be a glorious day when that happens. She is sweet, sensitive and would love to be loved if she could only allow herself to do it.
Lowri is a female Corgi. She was born in April of 2002 and weighs 22.6 pounds.
Lowri is so happy that she has Buddies!
Her Buddy, Roxanne Gentes, from Essex Junction, Vermont, sent her this message: "Hi Lowri, I think the Queen of England is missing a doggie! How you escaped the palace is a mystery to me. You are a beautiful dog that deserves the royal treatment in a home full of love and tenderness. I know in my heart that you will be moving along to your forever home soon. All our love to you my dear! Roxanne, Jeff, Philly and Lexi" Lowri sends many grateful, shy Corgi girl kisses to Roxanne, Jeff, Philly and Lexi.
Her Buddy, Kristen Gottschalk, from Colon, Nebraska, sent her this message: "Hello beautiful girl. I can see in your eyes you will find someone to love. Ourl little corgi Fern has been down that road and has opened her heart to her forever home and she wants you to know it is okay to trust. Brodie, Lizzie and Fergie all send Corgi kisses your way." Lowri sends Kristen, Brodie, Lizzie and Fergie many grateful Corgi kisses and tail wags.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
