Homeward Bound - Adopted!
Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska with Sassy, Nick and Benji yorkies.
Marlene came from a terrible puppy mill. Upon arrival at HUA she lost 5 teeth from the poor nutrition and lack of care at the mill. Marlene is very happy to be free. She runs around enjoying her new surroundings and she likes to make the people pick her up to carry her outside. It isn't taking her long to learn to be a princess. Marlene is very personable and happy.
Marlene is a female Yorkie. She was born in November of 1997 and weighs 9 pounds.
Marlene is so happy that she has a Buddy! Her Buddy, Pam Sage, from Omaha, Nebraska, sent her this message: "You are an adorable mature lady. Enjoy your friends at HUA, and keep your PAWS crossed you will be moving to a new home soon. The Sage kids, Benji(alum), Nick(alum), and Sassy would love to have you come and live at their house. Well, Sassy may be questionable. :-) We will support you here until you have a new home. The Sage Family" Marlene sends Pam and her husband and cute yorkie kids many grateful kisses.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
