Pancho
Pancho came from a horrible breeding situation in Iowa. He and all of the other dogs there were so covered in fleas that they were pure black from head to tail. Pancho lost 9 teeth at his first vet visit due to the poor nutrition and lack of care he suffered at the breeding farm. Pancho is such a very nice boy. He is happy to be rescued. He is very friendly and eager to please the humans. He could not be more grateful for the nice place, good food, love and medical care that has relieved his pain. He is becoming quite a little character and loving his new status as one of the favorite lap dogs of the volunteers.
Pancho is a male Chihuahua. He weighs 6.7 pounds and was born in December of 2001.
Pancho is so happy that he has a Buddy! His Buddy, Joan Haigh, from Coupeville, Washington, sent him this message: "Hey Pancho! Can you feel all the love headed your way? Someone special has tons of it, just for you. Meanwhile we're sending nuzzles, kisses, scritches, tickly whiskers, and love from your six buddies, Joan, Blaine, Nikki, Panda, Sam, and Charlie" Pancho sends much love and many grateful kisses to Joan, Blaine, Nikki, Panda, Sam and Charlie.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
