Pauline Homeward Bound - Adopted! Now living happily with her Buddy, Deb, in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are so happy that they are now Buddies forever!! Pauline suffered 7 years of agony giving birth to litter after litter of pups. The sales flyer from the auction says she is a "good mother", meaning a good producer of profit for an evil industry. After this much time and distress many dogs would easily have lost all ability to look favorably at life. Not Pauline though. She is just happy as can be. She is a very smart girl. A wave of relief washed over her as her chains were cut off and we rubbed her neck. She is so grateful for all that is done for her, and so anxious to thank us all for her rescue. Her loving cheerful smile is all the thanks we need. Pugs are easily succumb to heat. Pauline and her sweet puppies never had air conditioning, or even much breeze. It is a wonder that they survived. We put them between the people in the SUV on the way home, with the air conditioning pointing right at them. They were so comfortable and relieved that they fell asleep almost instantly, and serenaded us with the sweetest little puggie snores all the way home. It was beautiful. Pauline is a female pug. She was born 09/15/99 and weighs 20 pounds. Pauline is so happy that she has Buddies! Her Buddy, Deb Wilde, from Fort Collins, Colorado sent her this message: "Dear Pauline, I love your cute little smooshey face. My little dog Dickens is a pug mix and I bet he would think you are pretty cute too. I hope you find a forever family soon. Until then I will be your Buddy and keep you in my thoughts. Love, your buddy Deb" Pauline sends Deb and Dickens many grateful pug girl kisses. Her Buddy, Michell McClure, from Sidney, Nebraska sent her this message: "You are so cute! Maggie, our pug, was born in September 99 too! We are sending pug kisses to you and we know you will find a great home soon!" Pauline sends Michell and Maggie many grateful happy kisses. Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization.
