Rubert
Rubert came from an awful puppy mill in Nebraska. He is a fun loving, happy fellow. He adores people and will be a really great companion. Rubert had several lumps removed from his body, all of which were benign.
Rubert is a male Shih Tzu. He was born in September of 1999 and weighs 18 pounds.
Rubert is so happy that he has a Buddy! His Buddy, Kathy Hamilton, from Austin, Texas, sent him this mesage: "Rubert, you are just so cute. I can't imagine what a horrible existance you must have had in that awful puppy mill, but now you are in the arms of the angels with HUA. You will soon find a wonderful forever home. We send love and kisses. Kathy, Mugsy, Cassie, Sasha and Dottie." Rubert sends many happy, grateful kisses to Kathy & her lovely family.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested.
