Scooter was surrendered by people who could no longer care for him. When he first arrived he was very frightened and sad to lose his home, but now he has come out of his shell and is a super star. He loves people and begs for belly rubs. He likes to be talked to and thinks playing ball is just the most fun thing ever. He is a dear boy. Scooter was afraid of the children at his former household, so should go to a quiet adult home. He would very much love to be in a home of his own again soon.
Scooter is a male Dachshund. He was born 4/3/06 and weighs 12 pounds.

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested.
