Spanky was rescued from a horrible breeding situation in Iowa. Spanky is just cute as can be. We can tell he wants to trust us but sadly, even at his young age, he has already had reason to become untrusting of what might happen at the hand of a human. Spanky is still a pup and no doubt he will have the time of his life once he figures out that it is ok to play, and be loved, kissed and held by a person. We can hardly wait to see the transformation. Spanky is an adorable little heartbreaker.
Spanky is a male Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix. He was born in February of 2007 and weighs 9.6 pounds.

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
