Tico is a fun, happy-go-lucky little guy. He loves to play, loves attention...just plain loves to be loved! He is a dear boy, just sweet as can be. Tico was saved from a city dog pound.
Tico is a male Chihuahua mix. He was born in 2005 and weighs 8 pounds.
Tico is so happy that he has a Buddy! His Buddy, Pauline Balta, from Lincoln, Nebraska sent him this message: "Tico, you are such a cutie, how could anyone have 'lost' you? Lucy and Kiwi, both HUA alumnae, want you to know there is a forever home waiting for you somewhere, but in the meantime, HUA is a wonderful place to be! Kiwi says, 'Even though I'm a bit naughty, I found a home!' " Tico sends Pauline, Kiwi and Lucy many happy, grateful Chihuahua boy kisses!
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
