Timmy
Timmy was rescued from a horrible puppy mill in Arkansas. He lived with a foster family in southern Missouri for quite awhile, but they had to move and brought him to HUA where they knew he would be well cared for. Timmy has a congenital neurological disorder that causes him to shake. He functions normally and is an intelligent boy. He is housetrained and even walks on a leash. His foster family did a wonderful job with him. He adores people and loves being held and hugged. He is a happy, exuberant boy with a zest for life and love. He LOVES treats more than any dog we've known. His foster mom says that he has the most amazing spirit. He melts the hearts of everyone he meets.
Timmy is a male double dapple dachshund. He was born 07/20/04 and weighs 12 pounds.

His Buddies, Terry and Kaitlin Belk from Media, Pennsylvania, sent him this message: "Timmy, You just melted our hearts. We knew from the second we saw you that we needed to be your buddy! We know that you will soon have a forever home. Lots of love, Terry and Kaitlin" Timmy sends Terry and Kaitlin many happy, grateful dachshund boy kisses.
His Buddy, Colleen McLaughlin, from Valley, Nebraska, sent him this message: "You are adorable dear Timmy. I can tell how much love you have in your heart. You look like a dog who is always happy and makes the best of every single day. You are to be admired, but most of all loved." Timmy sends Colleen many happy, grateful hugs, kisses and tails wags.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.
