Tres is a fun loving, adorable little guy. It takes a little bit of time for him to get used to you, but once he does, watch out because he will love you to pieces!! He loves to play with other dogs, and loves to be spoiled and played with by the humans. He is a great little guy. Tres was rescued from a puppy mill in Kansas. He has the most fun, proud walk we've ever seen. His front legs go high in the air like he is a drum major strutting around. He generally has a look on his face indicating that he is quite pleased with himself. There is no lack of comedy with Tres around. Tres had an operation on his hip to help him walk better. He is making a complete recovery. The hip problem was likely due to poor breeding.
Tres is a male Chihuahua. He was bor 4/16/06 and weighs 10 pounds.

Tres is so happy that he has a Buddy! His Buddy, Stephanie Haley, from Oxford, Massachusetts sent him this message: "Hey Tres, you are a Christmas present to my friends Jon and William. They love dogs but have too many to adopt more. You look like quite a character. Be a good boy. Hugs and Kisses, Stephanie" Tres sends Stephanie, Jon and William many happy, grateful kisses.
Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested.
