Vincent

Vincent somehow found himself in a shelter. We're not sure why. Probably because his family decided they didn't have time for him. Too bad for them, because he is a smart boy! After all, he's a terrier mix! To be honest, he's a mix of a lot of things, but there is a terrier in his family somewhere.

Vincent is a shy little boy at first meeting, but he will make the most loyal companion and would probably learn just about anything his human companion wants to teach him. He is eager to please. He is not a cuddler or a lap sitter, but once he gets to know you, he is loyal to the core! Vincent is one of only a few dogs at HUA who have earned off leash privileges. He will follow his favorite volunteers, never leaving their side for a moment. Vincent especially looks forward to his Saturday lunch dates with his favorite volunteers. He knows that in all liklihood he will get some tasty people food from the weekly pot luck. He will put his front paws on the arm of the chair, furrow his brow, tilt his head and look at a person as if to say "could you spare a bite for me please?". He is never pushy, doesn't try to dive bomb the table like some of the other dogs...he knows he can get what he wants by being polite and using his plentiful charm. Although he has lots of HUA volunteers to be loyal to, he would love to have a human companion to bond with - for life!

He was born in January 2005. As of August 2005, he weighs 25 pounds.

Vincent is so happy that he has a Buddy ! His Buddy, Fran Kaye from Omaha, sent him this message: "Hey little guy - You're a winner! Have fun." Vincent sends Fran a big kiss.

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. We can give you more information on each dog if you click on the adoption link below. If you are interested in adopting Vincent the Terrier, please click on the adoption link below. Buddies are people who help support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the Buddy.

Thanks for visiting our dogs!
