Raleigh

Raleigh should star in a movie as the all-time outstanding character dog. Weighing in at over 100 pounds, this beautiful Malamute is the soul of kindness and obedience but a very high management dog. Raleigh can climb every fence in the Shelter and has even opened doors and windows. He is very sensitive to criticism, and even a slight frown brings contrition, apologies and compliance. He had to be told only one time not to chew on the couch. His response was "OK, how about the coffee table." He is the most loving, social dog, kind and gentle to children, little old dogs, and kittens. He greets all visitors to the Shelter as though they are long lost friends. His great loves are freedom and an active social life. What else can we say? He's grand!
