be my buddy
Bulldog Mix
Born: 07/04/2012
66 lbs

Baylor was rescued from the pound where he was facing certain euthanasia due to overcrowding. We don't know what happened to him before he found himself locked up, but people must not have been very nice to him. The poor guy does not trust everyone right off the bat and we have learned to move slowly with him when introducing him to new people and new dogs. Once he he knows you, though, there is not a better dog to be had. He has so much fun walking around campus on his leash and loves zooming about the yards. He is sweet and affectionate and will ask for snuggles once he's tired himself out. Baylor would probably prefer being an only child, as he does not always enjoy sharing his people. However, an experienced owner could probably integrate him into a home with other dogs. He is a great guy who deserves a life filled with happiness, security and lots of fun.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Tatiana Colburn, from Omaha, NE, sent him this message: "Sweet Baylor, I hope you find a loving family soon." Baylor sends Tatiana lots of happy kisses and tail wags!
His Buddy, Frank Bartek, from Lincoln, NE, sent him this message: "Baylor, I hope you find someone to take you home soon!" Baylor hopes so, too, and sends Frank many grateful tail wags and shy smiles!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
