Shih Tzu Mix
Born: 12/25/2008
Small

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

This adorable young boy was surrendered to HUA by his elderly owner, who became ill and unable to care for him any longer. It is always such a sad situation when a beloved pet has to leave his home, and our hearts break for these animals every time it happens. Chico is a smart little guy, though, and he knew right away that HUA was going to be a very fun place to hang out while he waited for his new home to be found. He is a very nice, very good boy who has been an absolute doll to have around. He is super friendly, loves playing with the other dogs and adores it when children come to visit. He has had a great time getting to know everyone and throws a little party every time a new toy is tossed to him. Although Chico has really enjoyed his adventure here at HUA, he has informed us that he is ready to go to his forever home and is now happily accepting applications.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddies, Laurie Leseth and Peg O'Neill, from Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Chico, You are completely adorable. We adore you and hope you get adopted soon. Love, Laurie, Peg & the Shih Tzu Crew" Chico sends Laurie, Peg and their lovely girls many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
