Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Pennsylvania.

Chooey is a sweet little social butterfly who is so happy to be rescued. He was in a South Dakota puppy mill for eight years before HUA came to his rescue. He is missing some teeth and is on heart meds for a heart murmur, but he doesn't let any of that slow him down. This gorgeous little fellow is making up for lost time. He loves all people and thinks that running around the yard exploring is just fabulous! We know that Chooey would be delighted to have a home and family to call his very own and we hope that some special person will find it in their heart to give an older fellow who needs heart meds a place to call home. Dogs can live a very long time with heart conditions, requiring only some inexpensive meds, and Chooey says he intends to be one of them - he has a lot of lost time to make up for. He is the life of the party who makes the most of each new day filled with freedom and love.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Margaret Aalberg, from Lincoln, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Dear Chooey, What a handsome, but serious face you have. We know that you’re going to a furever home very soon. Love and kisses—the Aalbergs" Chooey sends Margaret and her lovely family many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
