Pearl Featured

be my buddy
Eskie
Born: 08/29/2006
Medium
24 lbs
Female

Pearl was surrendered to the shelter by her family, who found themselves in a position where they could no longer care for her. Owner surrenders are alway heart-wrenching and we put tons of extra effort into those dogs to make sure they know that they are safe and sound and loved. Pearl got the point and has been a whole lot of fun here with us. She is agreeable and goofy and playful. She adored wearing her Halloween costume for the big spooky photo shoot and showed off her modeling skills to anyone who asked. It goes without saying that Pearl is beyond gorgeous, but she is also smiley, sweet, smart and silly. Pearl loves hanging out with her roomies, but seems to think the smaller dogs are dumb and annoying, so we'd like her to be either an only dog or with a dog that's her size or larger. We wouldn't want our princess to think she was being forced to live with lesser beings, naturally.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Virginia Kass, from Mankato, MN, sent her this message: "Pearl, you are a beautiful girl and there is a wonderful family somewhere waiting to take you home and make you the center of their world! I know you'll be a devoted family member. Until then, I'd love to be your Buddy!" Pearl sends Virginia many playful smiles and hugs and lots of very happy kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
