Duchess

be my buddy
Chihuahua
Born: 06/03/2010
Tiny
5 lbs
Female

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Duchess was found in an abandoned house in Missouri. We cannot figure out how this came to be. She had to have been loved by someone, because she is all about making up to people. She is super cuddly and wants to be in a lap or on a shoulder when she is not playing around with her friends. She dances wildly when games begin and darts about exploring and entertaining. Duchess recently met some children and she thought they were great people. Because she is so tiny and fragile, however, we want her to go to a home where there are either only adults or older, gentle children. In typical Chihuahua fashion, Duchess will devote herself to her family and become a velcro dog. She doesn't mind sharing laps, however, as long as there is room for her to curl up for a little snooze before the fun begins all over again.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Mary Dufault from Ironwood, MI, sent her this message: "Duchess, I am so happy to know that you are being cared for and loved by all the nice people at HUA now. I hope your perfect family finds you soon! Mary" Duchess sends Mary lots of happy dances and grateful kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
