Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Martell, Nebraska.

Howdy wandered into the securely fenced yard of an HUA volunteer one day, and waited patiently and happily until she noticed he was there. Although astonished, our volunteer was thrilled to meet this silly guy and the two became fast friends. After searching high and low for his owners, it was determined that Howdy must have been dumped or abandoned and he was brought to the shelter. To this day, nobody can figure out how he got into that yard. As a matter of fact, his name was born from the frequent question, "How'd he get in there?" He is a super dog. He is laid back, harmless, goofy, happy. Some may even consider him a tad bit lazy, but we like to think he is reserving his energy for bestowing massive amounts of affection. Because a lover he is. Howdy adores people and sports the happiest grin at all times. He even smiles in his sleep. He will be a fantastic addition to just about any family and gets along great with eveyone who crosses his path.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Earl Colgan, from Lincoln, NE, sent him this message: "Howdy I hope you find your forever home very soon. I think you will be a really fun dog for some family. Sending you lots of hugs and puppy kisses." Howdy loved the kisses and sends Earl lots of big puppy hugs and kisses along with several happy tail wags!
His Buddy, Sharon Schmitt, from Fairfax, Virginia, sent him this message: "Howdy - You sound like an awesome guy! Some family will be very lucky to have you join them. Till then, our gang is happy to be your buddy. High fives from Passion and Odin." Howdy sends Sharon, Passion and Odin many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
