Mykel

be my buddy
Bichon Frise
Born: 04/15/2004
Small
12 lbs
Male

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Please do not panic! Mykel does have eyes and can see just fine. The whipping Nebraskan winds can sometimes wreak havoc on one's appearance, and Mykel was just having a bad hair day. He came from a puppy mill in Missouri, filled with bad days, and not just because of his fur. He is trying so very hard to be a good boy and to do things that please us. He is a little nervous yet but we have found that if we go slowly with him, he is eager to trust and will allow himself some happiness. He is a big fan of the great outdoors and likes hanging out with his friends. We can see that every day for him is a new beginning, and Mykel will become a faithful companion to a lucky family.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Noelle Bryan from Novato, CA, sent him this message: "Hi Mykel! You are so cute! What a cuddle bug! I am so glad you are being given such wonderful care at HUA. I would love to help sponsor you until you find your new, loving home which you so mightily deserve. Love and cuddles and kisses to you, Mykel! Love, Noelle"
Mykel sends Noelle plenty of cuddles and hugs and lots of little kisses!
His Buddy, Teri Keene, from Quincy, Illinois, sent him this message: "Hi Mykel! We're so happy you were rescued and are now in the capable, loving hands of HUA volunteers. We love Bichons and we wish we could adopt you. We already have 2 Bichon girls at home, one of them a rescue just like you. They send you happy wags and kisses from afar. Our boy Odie, who we adopted from HUA, wants you to know that your time there will be a good experience and that you can trust the volunteers there to place you in a wonderful home, just like they did with him. Sit tight Mykel. We know you'll be adopted real soon. Sending you many kisses and belly rubs. Love, The Dog Pack Wes, Teri, Odie, Angel, and Maddie" Mykel sends Teri and the adorable Dog Pack many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
