Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Jack is a distinguished little gentleman. He spent his first nine years in a puppy mill in Nebraska, and that took a bit of a toll on him. He is a little wary of new people. Once he gets used to someone, though, he is a great friend. He is gentle and unassuming. He is patient with the wild ones. Jack's favorite thing in the world is a good scratching on his back. He gets a look in his eye that tells us nothing has ever felt so good. That's how low maintenance Jack is. He wants a back scratch, thank you very much. That's all. Just a back scratch. We're happy to do that for him. Jack will transition wonderfully into a home. He really is just looking for a comfortable place to rest his head and feel safe forever.
Buddy Messages (3)
His Buddy, Erin Buda, from Lincoln, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Jack, I am impressed with your gentlemanly behavior. I'm so happy you are now at HUA and I hope you will soon be in your own, special home!" Jack sends Erin many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
His Buddy, Karen Menehan, from Santa Cruz, California, sent him this message: "Wishing HUA and Jack all the best; thanks for the great work you do. I am in Santa Cruz; California; but I want to support your work in the world." Jack sends Karen many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
His Buddy, Amy Hanson, from Council Bluffs, Iowa, sent him this message: "Jack, your adorable Oscar the Grouch face belies your gentle spirit. I hope that you find a new forever home soon. You deserve to get your little belly scratched every day and snuggle up close to your human as much as you like. Puppy mill people are not like other humans. Remember that." Jack sends Amy many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
