Burrito

be my buddy
Chihuahua
Born: 02/10/2006
Small
9 lbs
Male

This sweet little man came from a puppy mill in Kansas, where his spirit was just about broken. Although Burrito did not suffer any physical problems, for which we are grateful, he did have some emotional ones. He is fearful and shy and who can blame him? He does let us pick him up and he relaxes a bit after a while, but it will take some time for him to become the man he should be. With the right person, Burrito will come out of his shell. We see it happen all the time. He needs a safe, loving home where his confidence can creep in. His soft, silky fur is perfect for petting and he is just the perfect size for a lap!
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Mary Langley, from Stillwater, OK, sent him this message: "Hey little Burrito, I can see a sweet spirit in your eyes. I hope and pray for a forever home for you so that you will always know the love and kindness that you and all dogs deserve!" Burrito sends Mary some tiny little kisses and shy, hopeful cuddles!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
