Gunner Featured

be my buddy
Chihuahua
Born: 10/10/2011
Small
10 lbs
Male

Gunner was referred to us by an animal clinic in Omaha. We don't know a single thing about his background, but we suspect his life has not been a good one. He was sad and shy when he got here, and confused as to why the other dogs seemed so happy. The poor little guy just did not know how to have a good time. With time and love, Gunner has figured it out. He, too, has fun in the yards now and is making a lot of friends. Of course we all find him to be irrestible with his precious pucker and spindly legs. At this point in his life, time and security mean everything to Gunner. Once he is surrounded by love in a safe home, we think the spicy Chihuahua in him will emerge and we anticipate a real success story.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Debra Adshead, from Welling, UK, sent him this message: "You are the most beautiful boy Gunner, you have stolen my heart. I wish that I lived in USA so that you could live with my family. I hope you find a forever home very soon. All my love xxx" Gunner wishes Debra lived here, too, and sends her many grateful kisses, happy tail wags and joyful cuddles!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
