be my buddy
Chihuahua Mix
Born: 09/10/2011
14 lbs

Happily living in Bonner Springs, KS. Irving was a bit of a basket case when he was caught as a stray. He was confused, disoriented, scared and sad. It was clear to us, however, that this little guy was a dog who loved people and it didn't take long for him to start attaching himself. He is still the tiniest bit wary of newcomers, but absolutely adores the people he knows and his true Chihuahua faithfulness is shining through. He has had a very nice time meeting the other dogs and playing with everyone at receess. Irving simply needs a bit of a confidence boost. He needs to know that whatever happened to him in the past will not happen to him ever again, and he can rest assured that from here on out, it's all good.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Linda Murphy, from Boca Raton, FL, sent him this message: "Sweet Irving, I couldn't resist being your Buddy because your little face looks so much like my Mickey! All my furkids and I send you our love and want to help with your care until you find the family who will cherish you forever!" Irving sends Linda and The Boca Pack all his love in return, along with lots of little kisses and playful tail wags!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
