Janka and her sister, Fiska, came to the shelter from a horrifying, filthy breeding operation in Missouri. The poor darlings were so terrified of people when they arrived that we wondered if they were actually feral. Our hearts broke for them. Over time, both girls have shown improvement and are starting to love and appreciate their freedom. They are making progress toward trusting us and no longer flee in terror when they see a human approaching. We know that with patience and understanding, both girls will come to know that life is good and full of comfort. Janka is absolutely beautiful with her soulfull eyes and golden pony tails. She likes cuddling up and lounging in the yard with the breeze in her hair and the sun warming her back. We can see in her eyes that she is marveling at this good, new life and hoping that the best is yet to come.
