Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Fairfax, Missouri

Wyatt was rescued from the local pound, where he was awaiting certain death. He is a huge favorite here at the shelter. He is a total gentleman, a prince of a fellow. He is mannerly, obedient and FUN. Wyatt loves playing with the other big dogs and has the happiest of all smiles all the time. We just cannot say enough nice things about him. We had Wyatt's hips xrayed and he does have dysplasia, which is quite common in his breed. He may need to have medical management at some point in the future, but as of now he feels fine. He is such a good dog and worth getting him anything he needs. Wyatt will love being in his own home, spending time with his new family and showing off his beautiful smile and incredibly sparkling personality.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Judith Neal, from Council Bluffs, IA, sent him this message: "I think you are the most handsome fella I have ever seen all decked out in black, and I love you dearly! Your wonderful forever family will be VERY lucky to have chosen you!" Wyatt sends Judith lots of very joyful tail wags and many happy kisses!
His Buddies, Dweezel and Carolyne, from CA, sent him this message: "Hi Wyatt, You are so very beautiful. My name is Dweezel Dachshund and my mom Carolyne Joseph and I would love to be your buddy until you find your forever home. Licks from me and hugs and kisses from my mom." Wyatt is thrilled to have a fabulous doxie buddy and loved the licks! He sends Dweezel and Carolyne many happy kisses and very grateful hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
