be my buddy
Havanese
Born: 07/31/2008
Small
15 lbs
Female

Sienna was turned over to the shelter from a breeder in the Midwest. She lost 20 teeth during her first dental visit, but is otherwise quite healthy. She was frightened and shy when she arrived at HUA and did not trust that people were going to be kind to her. She has made great strides, however, and is showing us that she is a big time player. She is a smart girl who knows what she wants and figures out how to get it. She has a great time hanging with her new friends and can often be seen playing fun games with them. Although Sienna has shown great improvement, she will still need a family that understands her past and will continue to work with her to build confidence and trust in humans.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Lisa Tegels, from Urbandale, IA, sent her this message: "You look like a beautiful girl, Sienna, and I'm happy that you are gaining confidence and learning to like people a little more every day! You'll be a joy for your new family, and I hope they find you soon." Sienna sends Lisa lots of happy tail wags and many little kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
