be my buddy
Born: 06/04/2009
10 lbs

Belize was shuffled around from home to home before coming to the shelter and we are dumbfounded as to why. There really is no good reason that she wouldn't fit in just about anywhere. She is sweet, silly, acrobatic and fun-loving but also calm, sedate and lady like. She’s all about loving people and having a good time. In her constant quest to be where the humans are and the action is, Belize has scaled and jumped the half door from the lobby into the sun porch. She is not the first dog to have figured this out, but still it amazes us every time. Belize is an adorable little charmer with an unstable past through no fault of her own, and time and security would mean the world to her.

Her Buddy, Elizabeth Grisius, from Bethesda, MD, sent her this message: "Hi Belize! You have such a beautiful face and I wish we could adopt you but we already have 2 dogs - 1 from HUA. I keep checking in to see if you've found your forever home yet ~ I know you will!!" Belize sends Elizabeth and her two furkids LOTS of very happy kisses, and hopes that she is right about finding a forever home soon!
Her Buddy, Julie Radicevic, from Seattle, WA, sent her this message: "Belize, your face is so precious, you melted my heart! I know you'll find a great home soon!" Belize sends Julie many grateful hugs, happy tail wags and little kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
