Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Nebraska City, Nebraska

Virgil was a stray before his arrival at HUA. We may never know why this young man found himself without a home, but he has very much made himself at home with us. Upon settling in, gregarious little Virgil promptly made friends with the other dogs and took note of when play times happen. We have unconfirmed reports that he has compiled a dossier on our volunteers and knows exactly how to cajole each one into taking him out to the yards for an afternoon party. Virgil is supremely easy to get along with and we think he'll fit right into his new family as if he's been part of it for years.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Alexus Lodes, from Omaha, NE, sent him this message: "Hi Virgil! I know you'll find a great home soon, you're so cute! I wish my home had room for one more! Sending lots of kisses from my fur babies and me!" Virgil LOVED the kisses and sends Alexus and her furkids MANY happy, grateful kisses right back!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
