Miniature Schnauzer
Born: 05/01/2005

Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Peru, Nebraska

Lily was brought to HUA when her person became very ill and was no longer able to take proper care of her. Poor Lily was sad and confused when she arrived, and we made sure that she understood that she had done absolutely nothing wrong. Although she took a little bit of time to warm up to us, she has since bonded with the crew and especially adores her caretaker, Trisha. She does the most adorable squealy barks when she sees her and her smile is a mile wide. Trisha actually adores Lily right back and has taken her home for sleepovers. We are all quite impressed that Lily is so well-behaved at her caretaker's house and likes very much to hang out with her small child. We are certain she will be a lovely addition to any family looking for a sweet, gentle-natured Schnauzer girl to call its own.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddies, the Nichols Family, from Titusville, FL, sent her this message: "Lily, your 'family in Florida' sends you daily prayers that someone who wants a senior dog like you will soon take you to your new forever home. Until that time, belly rubs and lickery kisses to you from Paislee and Sargent Pepper." Sweet Lily loved the kisses from Sargent Pepper and Paislee, and sends lots of them right back, and sends Maggie and Dale many cuddly hugs, too!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
