Schnauzer
Born: 04/25/2006
Small
13 lbs
Female

Mercedes was saved from being euthanized after she found herself in a kill shelter in Nebraska. She is a wonderfully sweet girl, full of personality and so happy to be with people who love her. We had a bit of an experience taking photos of her because her cuddling instincts would not allow her to keep her distance. She just could not. She NEEDED to be in a lap and she needed it right then and there. Mercedes walks perfectly on her leash and is so happy to take long walks around campus. She is a mild, gentle, adoring pup who will blend perfectly into just about any home environment.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Jean Bressler, from Omaha, NE, sent her this message: "Mercedes, I'm so glad you found your way to HUA! You deserve a wonderful family who will give you all the cuddles and love that you need, and lots of play time, too! I know they'll find you quickly, sweetie!" Mercedes sends Jean oodles of happy kisses and many grateful hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
