Homeward bound-adopted!
Now living happily in Fargo, North Dakota.
Rolanda recently arrived at HUA from a puppy mill in Nebraska that was ordered to downsize by the state. Many dogs out of that filthy place were heartworm positive and have to suffer through the arduous treatment required to rid them of the worms. Rolanda is one of them. The poor thing, after all that time in a nasty, scary, disgusting mill, now how this burden to bear, but she is through the worst of it. The good news is, Rolanda's wonderful personality is emerging. She is having the time of her life meeting new people at the shelter. She is an easy going, calm, relaxed little girl who adores attention. She is delighted by all of her dog friends and gets along perfectly with everyone. Rolanda will be thrilled to be in her own home for the first time in her life, where she will be spoiled like the sweet princess that she is.

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
