be my buddy
Pekingese
Born: 06/13/2003
Small
8 lbs
Male

HUA recently took in a wonderful bunch of smushy-faced, charming and sweet dogs from a local humane society. They were there due to a severe case of hoarding that resulted in the suffering of many dogs due to neglect and lack of medical attention. When the humane society was unable to adopt out some of the older and/or special needs dogs, they contacted us for help, knowing that these glorious animals would always have a home with HUA if they never found their forever homes. We love these animals and they have all become very important to us.

Jing is our tiny, mighty little lion. He is the cutest bug with a face perfect for kissing on. He is a laid-back, mellow guy who thinks humans are pretty cool and is enjoying getting to know us. He has been known to cop a bit of an attitude if any of the younger, less mannerly dogs get in his business. We do correct him on this, while hiding our giggles behind our hands. Jing just does not do grumpy that well - he is entirely too adorable to be taken seriously, much to his chagrin. We are sure he'll provide his family with years of laughter and interesting stories.

Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Isela Verner, from Fremont, Nebraska, sent him this message: "I love Jing and Manny so much and wish them to have very good homes someday soon. I love their personalities coming through their pictures and I wish I could adopt every single animal at HUA but I have my own Bella (little shi tzu) who needs my love and care. But I will love Jing and Manny from far away. Love Isela Verner" Jing and Manny send Isela many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
His Buddy, Kate Devoy, from Darlington, Western Australia, sent him this message: "Jing you are so beautiful! It will be my greatest pleasure to be your buddy until you find the family who are waiting just for you. I would love to give you real kisses and hugs but this will have to do! Love from Australia!" Jing sends Kate many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
