be my buddy
German Wire-hair Pointer
Born: 11/01/2003
51 lbs

This beautiful girl lost her home to divorce. We were all so sad for her and and fussed all over her the minute she arrived. We wanted her to feel warm and welcome. Asti has rewarded us for our kindness by being an incredibly well-behaved, polite and gentle dog. She is as sweet as they come. She loves all of the other dogs, big or small, and if you can believe this - she even likes the cats! Her house manners are suberb. She loves her long walks. She chases tennis balls with wild abandon and soaks in the kiddie pool on hot days. Asti will be the perfect companion for anyone looking for a lady-like, calm, engaging new member of the family.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Stacy Small, from Asheville, NC, sent her this message: "Hi Asti, You are just gorgeous and so sweet!! I would love to adopt you but for now I want to be your buddy!! My dogs Millie age 9, Red age 13 and Charlie age 14 say Hi - they would love to play with you!!" And Asti would LOVE to play with them, too! She is thrilled to have them as her buddies and sends Stacy, Millie, Red and Charlie tons of very happy kisses and many grateful hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
