Briggs Featured

be my buddy
Pomeranian
Born: 07/15/2011
Small
10 lbs
Male

Briggs was bought from his "breeder' for $50 by a person who had no idea what she was getting herself into. About all she knew was that she wanted a Pomeranian and this one was cheap. What this person didn’t bargain for was a puppy mill breeder dog that ran from her and had a mouthful of horrific infection. Once at the shelter the first order of business was to get Briggs’ teeth cleaned up nicely, which we did. The little beauty is in overall good health now, but he is still a bit of a fearful puppy mill dog. We know it won't take him long to get over that with time and attention. Briggs is totally mild-mannered and good with other little dogs and enjoys spending time with and learning from them. We have high hopes for our Briggs and anticipate joyful updates from his new family as they discover the huge heart we know is hidden underneath all of that gorgeous, silky hair.

His Buddy, Debi Ford, from Ames, IA, sent him this message: "Briggs, you are a very handsome little gentleman, and I understand that you are really overcoming your shyness with the help of everyone at HUA. I hope you soon find yourself in a wonderful home where your people will love you for the rest of your very happy days!" Briggs sends Debi lots of tiny, happy kisses and joyful cuddles!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
