Hearts United for Animals

be my buddy
Born: 02/05/1999
5 lbs

Gordie was rescued from a puppy mill in Nebraska. He is a gorgeous, lovely little fellow. He is still a bit hesitant with people and will need a quiet home. Gordie lost 12 teeth at his first vet visit. The vet said he had advanced periodontal disease from all of the years without any care. Gordie is such a darling boy who is enjoying the freedoms that other dogs take for granted. For 10 years Gordie did not get to touch grass or run or play. Even though he isn't fully sure of himself just yet he is really enjoying playing with the other dogs out in big spaces, sniffing around, and getting exercise and fresh air. He is now clean and well groomed and we are pretty sure he appreciates that too. He is a precious, fragile little soul and we are so happy that he will get to know the good things in life. Gordie is a male Pomeranian. He was born 2/5/99 and weighs 4.8 pounds.

His Buddy, Steve Elbert, from West Des Moines, Iowa, sent him this message: "Hoping that life is full of new things to sniff, new adventures, and lots of belly rubs. Steve Elbert" Gordie sends Steve many happy, grateful Pomeranian boy kisses and hugs.
His Buddy, Mary Steidl, from Alexandria, Virginia, sent him this message: "Hi Gordie, You are a gorgeous young man. I am so glad you are enjoying your time at HUA. You look like a very happy, lively boy. I hope you get adopted soon so you can know the love of your very own human." Gordie sends Mary many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
