be my buddy
Pomeranian
Born: 07/01/2006
Small
10 lbs
Female

This beautiful angel spent many years in a Nebraska puppy mill until she was finally rescued and given her freedom. She was baffled and bewildered at first, unable to understand even the smallest of kind gestures. She hung back and observed the busy goings-on in the intake room until she was able to absorb some of the happiness and gratitude from the other little dogs. Mocha has now become the sweetest of snugglers. She is becoming more self-assured and trusting every day. She meets her caregivers with wiggly dances in the morning and we are starting to see some hints of a grin now and again. You may ask why this pure white dog is named Mocha. Unfortunately, you can't see from her pictures, but she has a gorgeous brown spot on her back, as if somebody dropped a cup of chocolate onto her. It makes her all the more special to us.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
