Chalet

be my buddy
Poodle
Born: 12/18/2001
Tiny
7 lbs
Female

Chalet arrived at HUA beaten down, exhausted, untrusting, terrified and filthy. Much like every other dog to come out of the Kansas puppy mill where she was bred over and over until she became of no further use. During her dental check up, she lost 18 teeth. Disgusting, and all too common. Chalet is beautiful. Her colors blend together like a tremendously talented artist painted her. But we can still see the deep sadness in her eyes. She needs some coaxing to come to us, but will sit in our laps and look up at us as is to say, "Can I trust you?" We tell her, "Yes, sweetheart, of course you can." We'll keep telling her that until she believes it. Chalet will thrive in a home of her own with people who take good care of her, love her, and speak sweet nothings softly in her ear.
Buddy Messages (2)
Her Buddy, Kathleen Hennessey, from Boulder, Colorado, sent her this message: "Mademoiselle Chalet--you are the cutest little poodle! Hope you will soon forget the horrors of your past life with the loving care of the folks at HUA. Our last buddy just got adopted, and we know that there is a perfect home waiting for you too. Much love from Kate and Terry, Sabrina, Buck and HUA alums Carlos, Louie and Alfie. " Chalet sends the Hennessey family many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
Her Buddy, Lisa Pyburn, from Warrensburg, Missouri, sent her this message: "You are so beautiful! Your colors look like the girl our family adopted from HUA, Sonali. She is sitting on my lap as I type this and we hope you find a loving forever home soon!" Chalet sends Lisa and Sonali many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
